intellEDGE offers expert Evaluation and Marketability (E/M) Anaysis to
provide guidance in marketing and commercializing patents and inventive
assets.
E/M Analysis
Our internal and partner market, patent, and technical specialists
utilize our propriatary evaluation and analysis processes to help
identify the strength and market potential in a patent or
portfolio. Three tiers of analysis are provided depending on the
depth of the evaluation requested. E/M Analysis may be requested
by a patent owner or another third party with an interest in a
particulat patent. Patents do not need to be listed with
intellEDGE in order to receive our E/M Analysis.
Tier I
Basic analysis based on the invention description, claim coverage, and
the general technology area.
This analysis will help give you a high level view of the potential
market value range in which your patent(s) may fall.
Tier II
More focused analysis including everything described in Tier I as well
as
the fire wrapper and a royalty model evaluation based on current or
potential commercialization opportunities.
This analysis will provide a deeper evaluation based on a better
understanding of the point of novelty of the patented invention as well
as the practical scope of the claim coverage. The royalty model
evaluation will provide an additional method of viewing the potential
value of the patented technology, as well.
Tier III
This is the deepest analysis of everything described in Tier II andf
further including a potential infringer analysis.
This analysis provides an additional valuation source, as well as
additional marketability characteristics. Patents with identified
potential infringers are generally much easier to market.
Reporting
E/M Analysis reporting
includes a description of the evaluation highlighting the process and
steps that lead to a final estimated market value range and
market potential.

Select Service™

This pre-analysis allows buyers and sellers of Select Service
program patents to rest assured that the value has been well researched

Patents that are not part of the Select Service program may at the
owner's initiative, seperately receive E/M analysis as detailed above
to ensure that their asking prices are as well researched and accepted
as the Select Service patents.
